I downloaded the free TED app for the iPad. I love TED. It would have to be in my top ten websites of all time; in fact right now I cannot think of another website I’d put in the top ten, so it may just take the top spot. For those who don’t know, TED.com is an online collection of short talks given by the world’s best minds (and, um, the rest of their body parts). Every time I visit the site I probably spend an hour watching three or four talks. They’re simply fascinating. The iPad app allows you to save talks for offline viewing; perfect for loading up before a long trip (alongside the excellent longform.org).
Which brings me to the video below. Jamie Oliver as you’ve (or I’ve) never seen him before. Getting serious with regards to obesity, preventable death, and the “system”. Absolutely inspirational. And I agree 100% with everything he says. Please watch.
