While camping in Bighorn National Forest the last few days, we saw a 2 year old moose casually stroll past our campsite maybe 20 feet away. The next day (actually the next two days) we saw a mother and calf moose wandering around the campsite eating the willows at the bank of the lake. Amazing! So now we’ve seen golden and bald eagles, grizzly and black bears with cubs (the latter a little too close for comfort 😬), deer, elk, all the furry little forest critters, and now a moose and her calf. The only thing we hadn’t seen on our trip is a bull moose (male).
This morning literally packed and on the way out of the campground, we came across two bull moose chillin’ at the top of the campgrounds, snacking on willows. Two!
I wonder what else we should wish for?
