Had a magnificent day of cycling in Acadia National Park! 23 miles of carriage roads: roads built for horse-drawn carriages, gravel roads with rolling climbs and descents (we did ~1800 feet total climbing) with beautiful views of three pristine lakes. Not a cloud in the sky, temperatures were slightly chillier that perfect riding weather. Which is, of course, perfect riding weather.
We’re camping here for three more nights, then on to Auburn, Maine for a week or so. Probably will do some more of these roads before we leave Acadia National Park. Can recommend 👌.
