I’m riding a virtual event throughout March, from bottom point to the top point of the UK, 500km with 9000m of elevation over 22 stages**.
Highlights from day one:
• hairy cows hanging out in the middle of the road
• some serious crane-worthy roadworks
• small roadkill (bird?)
• ocean views
• woman walking around the seaside town with hubby wearing a revealing orange bikini
• best of all: being able to bring your dog along for the ride 🐕
Day one down, 21 stages to go. I have until the end of March.
**This is a subset of the full LeJog route of 1600km, but I suspect to make it even slightly doable for the layperson a 500km distance is pretty good.
