After shifting a previous fence line over a bit we gained an extra ~30sq metres of garden bed. Well, it needed to be painfully (and literally!) turned, into somewhat usable soil for two lime and two orange trees coming in the near future. . Also added a bunch of yellow sulphur powder to try to reduce the PH a little, as well as gypsum to break down the clay a bit, and sand to help with drainage. Add to that a heap of donkey pop and hay that was left over from the previous owners, and finally topped up with cypress tree mulch the lovely lads from the local council generously dumped a truckload of in our yard while doing routine tree cleanup earlier in the year.
