Nesting in the hollow of a nearby tree. Saw the feathers poking out last night when I was walking around with the torch (as I’m want to do). Stuck the phone in the hole today to see three cute rosella eggs. Roselleggs?
Sea lions snoozin’
Guess who’s back…
This little guy gave me the “come hither and scratch my belly” eyes, so of course, I obliged :)
Couple of morning visitors trying to meet the new neighbours…
Three willy-wagtail hatchlings! (And one angry mother (sound on 🔊))
Plan A did not work: once Skuttles ventures out in the evening, we tried close the garage doors hoping the unwound door would open his hidy-hole Unfortunately there’s still almost a full cylinder left for him to crawl back into. Also sprayed heavily with vinegar to no avail. So… Plan B: bend the door rails enough so that we can pull all the roller door out completely exposing the tubular hidy-hole. When Skuttles returns from his night of hunting he’ll have to find another nearby home to sleep in.
